Shortcut to open Sublime from OSX Terminal

I really love Sublime, especially when require to update small text or config file on my OSX. It is light, easy to use, nice user interface and has lots of add-in to manage my editing process. But sometime I want to open sublime from terminal, and write down “open” command on terminal is really pain. Thus I try other workaround to address that by creating link to user bin folder and it works fine. I share the command here, in case someone may need it:

Creating the link:

ECLTADA01:etc ariefdarmawan$ ln -s “/Applications/Sublime Text.app/Contents/SharedSupport/bin/subl” /usr/local/bin/sublime

To open sublime then simply just type

ECLTADA01:hadoop ariefdarmawan$ sublime

or

ECLTADA01:hadoop ariefdarmawan$ sublime mapred-env.sh
